Items Module In CISePOS| Best POS Software In Pakistan 

The Items module is a very dynamic module integrated into CISePOS. This module is specially designed to formulate items/products in the business. Most of the POS software does not have such a dedicated section or module for products.

This module is different from the category section that categorizes products into different parts. CISePOS updates this section into a unique section that is open to adjustments by the user. This section also works as a setup section where users can set up different settings related to products.

List Items:

List items refer to the items list. The list carries information about the products retailers have in their stores. The list carries information like barcode, name of the products, unit of measure of the product, category of the product, sub-category, purchase rate from supplier, discount rate applicable, tax rate, sales rate (inclusive of discount and tax rate), name of the supplier, color of the products, size of the product, and brand of the product. 

The user can go through all the details in this section. 

Add Item:

Add item is a tool from which the user can add items to the list. The item list is used in the inventory module, sell module, and category module. Every item added through the add item tool is updated in the software. 

The tools ask for the following details. Barcode, name of the item, unit of measure for the item, SKU of the product, PCT code, purchase rate, sales rate, discount rate, and tax rate.

The system also asks for item attributes such as category, sub-category, color, brand name, and size of the products. It also asks for pictures of the item to be uploaded to the system. 


The supplier section is where the user can view the details of the supplier. This information is used to identify the source of the product. This info is also used for the procurement of inventory. The information is available in the following parameters. Supplier code, name of the supplier, phone number of the supplier, mobile number of the supplier, city, and country from which the supplier belongs to.

The supplier section has a tool that helps the user to add a new supplier to the database.

Add supplier:

Add supplier tools and add new suppliers to the system. The tool needs the information to process the addition. It needs the supplier code, name of the supplier, phone and mobile number of the supplier, city, and country of the supplier. Furthermore, it requires the status of the supplier as an active or inactive supplier. 


The brand section is where the user can see the information regarding the brand retailer offers. It includes information such as brand name and brand code. Brand code refers to a unique system-generated code that is allocated to every brand that a retailer offers. 

Add brand:

Add a brand is a tool that helps the user in adding new brands to the system. The tool only asks for the name of the brand and it automatically generates a brand code for that new brand.

Search Item: 

Search item is a tool that is used to filter the items. As the name suggests the tool is used to search for the items in the list. A retail store may have thousands of items in its items list, this tool helps in the fast searching of items.


Color is an attribute that users can set in the item section. This attribute helps in the identification of the product. Besides, the name of the color CISePOS associates a color code to the color.

Add color:

Add color tool is where the user can add color to the item. The system only asks for the name of the color and creates a color for the new entry. 


Size is another attribute that users have for the items. The size section has a list of different sizes of items in the retailer store. For example, the store has 4 different sizes: small, medium, large, and extra-large. These sizes can be seen through the size section.

Add New Size:

Add a new size is a tool that creates new entries for additional sizes. For example, the retailer wants to add an extra small size in the size attribute of the items. He can create a new size using the tool. The tool only asks for the name of the size the user wants to allocate. 


Unit is another attribute section of items in CISePOS. The unit section refers to the unit of measure. A retailer may have items that are measured in meters, grams, kilograms, and ounces. All the units of measures are visible in the sales and inventory module.

Add unit:

Add a unit is a tool that works in this section to add new units. Usually, retailers use this tool to add a new unit of measure when they add any new item to the store. Sometimes, retailers create their own units that are specifically generated to help retailers. 


The promotion section in CISePOS is a very diverse section that offers a unique feature to retailers. It comes under the customer loyalty program, but because of their affiliation with products CISePOS has put it under the items module. 

The promotion section is where the user can see promotions underway. The promotion section has information in this criteria,

Promo code:

Code for the promotion 

Validity from:

Date from which validity of the promotion starts

Validity to:

The date at which validity ends


Total days validity will be available


Discount offered during the promotion.

Discount %:

Discount offered in percentage 


The area where the promotions will work. For example, any particular category of products, the entire range, or any particular brand.

Add Promotion:

Add promotion is a tool where the user can add new promotions to the POS software. CISePOS asks for some simple parameters like the name of the promotion, the branches on which this promotion will apply, the promo code, the date from which the promotion starts, date to which the promotion ends, and the total days the promotion will be active.

Another thing that CISePOS asks in this tool is discount type, which refers to the nature of the discount whether it’s percentage-based, amount-based, or bulk discount policy. Once the user selects any of the above the system asks for the percentage if the user selects a percentage discount, or the amount if the user selects the amount of discount. 

There is another option in this section that is applicable. Applicable refers to the specification on which the promotion works. The software has five options.

All Orders: 

If the user selects this option it means that the offer is on all items retailers have regardless of quantity, product, or brand.

Orders Over And Equals To:

If the user selects this option it means that the promotion will work for a specific quantity. When the customer purchases goods worth a certain amount and above specified by the retailer the promotion works.

The software asks for the quantity equal to and above the parameter. The software saves the information in the system and updates the sales module.

Product Of Category:

If the user selects a product of category option it means that the offer is applicable to products of a particular category such as grocery, crockery, etc. 

The software asks for the category name, min, and maximum quantity for promotion validity.

Specific Product:

If the user selects specific products it means that the promotion is only valid for a particular product. 

The software asks for the name of the product, and valid min and max quantity to use for promotion. 

Credit and Debits Cards:

If the user selects a credit and debit card it means that the promotion is valid for only card payments of a certain bank or card provider. 

The software asks for allowed card no, bank discount account code, discount limit, and narration. 

Price List:

The price list section contains a list of pricing for different products, categories, and brands. The user can download the list and check the list for, the barcode, name of the product, unit of the item, price exclusive of tax, Tax applicable on the item, and price inclusive of tax.

Add New Price List:

Add new pricelist is a tool in this section where the user can create a new price list for new or existing items. The software asks for barcode, item, unit, price, tax, and price inclusive of tax. Furthermore, the system asks for the name of the new price list, the branches of this list will be visible, and the customer category the list is applicable to.  

Moreover, the user can upload any price list created on another source like excel.
